CDC Youth League Hails Elected Party Officials

IPNEWS: The Revolutionary National Youth League of the Mighty Congress for Democratic Change (RNYL-CDC) has seized the moment to congratulate all of its executive committee members who got elected at the just-ended 7th National Congress of the Mighty Congress for Democratic Change held in Monrovia.

“We are thrilled by the high level of democratic values that’s been upheld in our party and the unflinching commitment of the young people to keep this party alive for decades to come. We are extremely honored to be given the responsibility to lead the young people of this great movement.

This is by far the most distinguished honor any young man in this country can be proud of and we sincerely cherished this moment and promised to deliver on this mandate you entrusted us.

Our unfeigned gratitude to our standard-bearer Amb. George M. Weah and all the fifteen county delegates for the privilege and trust repose in us to serve the young people of our party and country. We would like to salute our chairman emeritus now Nat’l Secretary General of the indomitable Congress for Democratic Change-CDC comrade Jefferson T. Koijee. SG Koijee has ably transitioned his most cherished youth league and we feel personally emotional about accepting this reality! Moreover, we are excited about the peaceful and democratic transition that occurred in the Women’s League. We send our congratulations to Fatu Swaray and all elected officials,” the party Youth League’s statement said.

Accordingly, “the Mighty Congress for Democratic Change as a mass-based political movement continues to provide leadership opportunities for the sons and daughters of ordinary peasant children. To all of our colleagues elected, this is a responsibility to lead over 1 million young people of our party, and delivering the people’s mandate of 2023 is upon us. The onus of achieving the Weah-Taylor first-round victory is on us and the Liberian people are forever prepared to maintain the trajectory of free primary education, free tuition at all public universities, massive road construction, unprecedented economic transformation, jobs opportunity, and young people empowerment, and free WASSCE.

To the many young people out there, we call on you to join us as we consolidate the enormous gains made by H.E George M. Weah. Join the train of victory, a train that values ordinary people’s children from Clara Town, Doe Community, West Point, New Kru town, Soniwen, Fissibu, Quardu Gboni, Tchien, Pleebo, Arthington, Fish Town, Bokonjadeh and other parts of the country.”

The CDC Youth League furthered, “Neither agent provocateurs of doomsday spending thousands of stolen wealth on Wall Street, sponsoring anti-developmental activities that are geared toward stopping developmental programs intended for Liberia, nor an old and tired career squanderer can provide any better alternative leadership for this country than the Mighty Congress for Democratic Change.

We are aware of how those broad day pillagers of the erstwhile leadership of our country plunged this country into economic backwardness and it took the farsighted leadership of President George M. Weah and the CDC to restore the hope of the Liberian people through massive economic reform and development.”

Concluding, the Youth League reminded all partisans, sympathizers and well-wishers that the CDC remains committed to transforming the lives of the ordinary people and the Youth League will continue to keep the gate of this popular people’s movement.

The statement was issued on the 25th Day of November AD 2022 by the mandate of the National Executive Committee of the Revolutionary National Youth League of the Mighty Congress for Democratic Change.
