IPNEWS: In efforts to complete major projects across Grand Kru County District #2, Deputy Speaker Cllr. J. Fonati Koffa Friday has disbursed over 8.5 million Liberian Dollars.
The funds, which are aimed to develop the district, will implement nine (9) projects, in Grand Kru County adding to the already tons of completed projects.
Accordingly to the Offices of the Deputy Speaker and that of Grand Kru County District#2 Representative, the cash disbursement are as follows: “Completion of the Forpoh-Dweken roads (L$2,572, 500);
Purchasing of Six motorbikes for District Coordinators – (L$954,000) and Jloh District Handpumps Project — (L$960,000.00).
Others are Civilized Village School in Jroah Statutory District
– (L$537,750); Renovation of Bolloh Doeswen Clinic by Healthnet ($L$500,00.00); District Scholarship – (L$1,200,000); Completion of the Sally Toogbabou School – (L$1,0 53,000) in Buah Wropluken; Sasstown Scholarship – (L$236,450) and the Taybue Students University Scholarship – (L$600,000).”
Meanwhile, it may be recalled, the Deputy speaker has constructed three schools, namely: John Fannoh Karpeh, George Tugbeh Worjloh and Taybue Schools.
In furtherance to the eradication of illiteracy in the county, which is key to development and the economy, the Deputy Speaker is constructing two more schools in Kayken, Barclayville and Wropluken, Buah.
The Deputy Speaker is also constructing Town Hall in Buah Tarken and is contributing to renovations of schools, clínics, youth centres, and market stalls, among others in the county.
