-Rally Journalists to Elect his Ticket

IPNEWS-Monrovia: More than 40 Liberian Journalists residing both in America and Canada have awarded four hundred thousand Liberian dollars (400.000LD) towards the election campaign of Julius Kanubah as President of the Press Union of Liberia-PUL.

According to a press statement signed and issued on November 4 in Monrovia by profound journalist Romeo Togba of ECOWAS Radio, who is National Campaign Spokesperson Julius Kanubah for PUL Presidency, the diaspora Liberian Journalists under the banner “Friends of Julius Kanubah in the USA/Canada” is spearheaded by Media Expert Stephen Binda.

In a special statement read Friday, 4 November 2022 on behalf of the group, Prime FM News Director, Jutonu Kollie says “we are exceptionally proud to be a part of this process and have no doubt that Mr. Kanubah will be a better President for the journalism community in Liberia”. Mr. Kanubah, according to the US/Canada-based Liberian Journalists, over the years has demonstrated professionalism in all areas of his life and career.

Out of the four hundred thousand Liberian dollars announced, 105,000.00 was today presented to the National Campaign Manager for the Team, Raymond K. Zarbay and subsequently turned over to Titus W. Tokpah, the Committee Chairman on Resource Mobilization responsible for all campaign finances.

Mr. Zarbay who applauded the “Friends of Julius Kanubah USA/Canada” for the gesture, assured them of an overwhelming victory in the impending PUL November Election and the expenditure of the money for the intended purpose.

The amount is being disbursed in stages to help boost the campaign during and after: LD$100,000.00 for candidate’s operation expensive, another LD$100,000.00 will go towards transportation and feeding of voters in Gbarnga, Bong County, and LD$100,000.00 towards stationery, while another LD$100,000.00 will go towards painting of the PUL Headquarters after the election. “Friends of Julius Kanubah USA/Canada” further assures that as the election draws closer, additional funding will be delivered in the coming days in keeping with the disbursement plan.

Meanwhile, the Friends of Julius Kanubah in the United States and Canada have called on all registered members of the Union across the country to vote Julius Kanubah for President and Beatrice Sieh as Vice President respectively.
