#MEDIA-AID SETS RECORD STRAIGHT,

Provides education for PUL Membership C’tee on the establishment of professional schools in Liberia….
IPNEWS: MediaAid Foundation, owner of the Peter Quaqua School of Journalism-PQSJ takes serious exception to the repeated denial of its products who have met the 5-years criteria to become full members of the Press Union-of Liberia.
PUL Membership Committee Member Mr. Eddie Harmon has been ignorantly insinuating that the Peter Quaqua School of Journalism-PQSJ did not seek accreditation from the Higher Commission on Education as reasons for his wrongful action.
MediaAid Foundation through its Board of Advisors informs the PUL Membership Committee that under the education laws of Liberia, no professional schools need accreditation from the Higher Commission on Education.
MediaAid states that the Peter Quaqua School of Journalism-PQSJ is duly accredited and permitted by the Board of Schools Accreditation of the Ministry of Education, Republic of Liberia, with Registration #095 as a Private and Immediate Level professional school since October 31, 2014.
MediaAid further enlightens the PUL Membership Committee that PQSJ is not a degree granting institution, as such, it is not obliged to seek accreditation from Higher Commission on Education.
The institution reminds Mr. Eddie Harmon and his likes on the PUL Membership Committee that the same Union has awarded several practicing Journalists who are alumni of the Peter Quaqua School of Journalism-PQSJ for excellent performance over the years.
MediaAid seriously detests any further denial of its qualified products by the PUL Membership Committee based on the misinformed thoughts of Mr. Harmon.
Of late, Mr. Eddie Harmon has turned himself into a mere agent of ‘political provocateur’, bent on inciting confusion amongst journalists by grossly violating the PUL By-laws and Constitution, thus giving out full membership to ineligible persons over those who have met the criteria.
Meanwhile, MediaAid through its Board of Advisors is filing an official complaint against Mr. Harmon’s wrongful action to the Leadership and National Executive Committee of the Press Union of Liberia.
Peter Quaqua School of Journalism-PQSJ is Liberia’s flagship media school recognized by the United States Government through Embassy-Monrovia, University of Washington Bothell and Tacoma campuses in the USA.
PQSJ is also selected alongside the State-run University of Liberia to implement PUL Senior Journalism Students Fellowship sponsored by Internews and USAID.
The school’s products are credited for extraordinary performance including Journalists Forgbe Emma Kloh of Lux FM, Varney Dukuly of OK FM, Mafanta Kromah Jabateh of New Narrative, Gerald Koinyeneh Jr. of Front-page Africa, Danlette G Washington, Joseph Tumbey of the Independent Probe Newspaper, Richard Fallah of Bushrod Radio, Princess Elexa Vanjahkollie of Freedom FM, Cecelia Diamond Tracy Morlue of Prime Primefm, Emmanuel Tatormue Kollie,  Zechariah Sayon Jigbeh and Steven Dorbor of the Liberia Broadcasting System, among others.
