ABIC End Eminent Women’s Training Activities in Montserrado County

——As Women’s Plaged to Maintain the Peace ahead of 2023

IPNEWS: As  the 2023 Presidential and  legislative elections get near  it appears that the  attention is not just place on the result of the polls but on how peaceful the process will unfold giving the increase wave of drug abuse and violence that has had marred campaigns in the past, a sign, according to some women and youth has the growing influence of threats to the 2023 elections.
This is how the  Angie Brook’s Center for Women’s empowerment Leadership Development international Peace and Security on Friday Closed it 18months Training Activities in Montserrado County Participates from Ten Community accross Montserrado encouraging the Women and Youth to maintain the peace as we gear towards the election process.
In her closing remark the Establishment Coordinator of the Angie Brooks International Centre, Cllr Yvette Chesson- Wureh told the Women that they should Used the Knowledge aquire during the 18 months period to preach peace Messages as gear towards the election.
She warned if nothing is done to solve Electoral Violance  the  country may likely go back to it sawer past which she calling on the women to serve as Ambassador in their Verious Community nothing that Liberia is the only Country they have.
 According to her the time  is now for women’s to help in maintaining the peace we are enjoying as a country and Nation and no Politician or Political Parties should Used them to undermind the peace.
She added that the peace is the Hand of the Women’s of Liberia and as such They should protect the peace because Liberia is All they have, Election will come and go but we will remain as one people.
communities Leaders that benefited from the program  were PHP, West Point, Clara Town, King Gray, New Kru Town, Todee, Bentol, District #8,  Crozierville, Garnesville,
The Program which is a Flashship Project title , Sustainable and inclusive peace in Liberia through promoting women’s leadership and Participation in civic and political life and their strengthened role in conflict Resolution,the program of the ,, Women’s Situation Room WSR initiated by the ABIC in Partnership with ZOA-Liberia with support From the United Nations Peace -Building Fund.
Also speaking at the Closed of the training the Coordinator in the office of the Residents Coordinator of the United Nations Peace -Building office said they Were very happy with the level of transformation ABIC had done over the last 18 months with the women’s , Youths, Chiefs, Commissioners, Clan Chief.
According to John R.Dennis They will  continue to support the project,and they had another project which ABIC will form part of and that will be done in Election matter and they will work closely with the Community leaders through ABIC as we gear towards the election.
He said the entire program was a success and they  have a joint effect that they all having a joint efforts that Liberian should maintain the peace which he knows that with the level of Professionalism and Traning those Leaders got over the time they can maintain it.
Dennis Said as long their office is in Liberia they are going to support this Project for the overall Development of the Women’s and Youths of Liberia because they are the first people that can encounter Violence in their Verious Community.
We are greatful to ABIC for such a great job and we will do All it take in making sure that this Program countiunes.
Speaking further Some of the Beneficiary express thanks and appreciation the ABIC,ZOA and United Nations Peace -Building office and All those who helped them during the project.
Some of them said before joining this Program they was not able to speak among people but the program had sharping their minds and they are glad for such program.
They as the program come to an end they are going into their respective community in explaining the role they can play as we gear towards the election and how they as Leaders of their people can maintain the peace of Liberia because Liberia is all they have .
