President Weah Promises to be Development King in Liberia

IPNEWS: In continuation of his nationwide tour of Montserrado County on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, President George Weah told residents of District #9 that he will be the development king of Liberia, as his government focuses on implementing more development projects in Liberia.

The Liberian leader said that his quest to develop Liberia remains unquenched as he will work harder to develop all facets of the society.

Addressing residents of District #9 in Montserrado County during a town hall meeting on Tuesday, the Liberian chief executive encouraged his people to remain patient and trust him to make a difference across the Country.

He named road construction, electricity, improved health infrastructures as well as educational facilities as major areas he is continuing to invest in in order to transform the Country.

“I am a developmental-oriented leader as such, I urge you to be patient and we will develop Liberia together”, President Weah reiterated.

Evidenced of his ongoing developmental initiatives, President Weah promised to construct a modern market in District #9, specifically the Lakpazee community, the elevation of the Nancy B. Doe Public School to meet the demand of the growing population in the district as well as the pavement of feeder roads in the district among others.

Replying a request to construct a public library in the district by a youth representative, the President assured that the district – his district, will not be left behind neither forgotten as such, he will build a modern library for them.

Speaking on the 2023 general elections, President Weah called on all Liberians to help protect and maintain the peace of the Country, stating that without peace, “our world will be difficult.”

Making reference to his partisans, he warned them to avoid all elements of provocation and challenge them to focus on the one and paramount goal of reelecting him as the next President of the Country in order to continue on his development path of the Country, restating that he will be development king for Liberia.
