IPNEWS-Monrovia: Caretaker coach Ansu Keita oversaw another training session Wednesday morning at the SKD Sports Complex in Paynesville, the venue that will host Liberia-Senegal African Nations Championship first leg qualifier on Sunday, 24 July.

The CAF-African Nations Championship is intended to expose local-based players internationally, so CAF introduced few years ago as a platform to promote local-based players.

Keita has only just been in charge as caretaker coach this month and assisted by Thomas Kojo, but has since been trying to stamp his philosophy on the team; possession football which he’s dubbed as ‘’tao tao’’.

The former PSG Academy youth trainer is revered in Liberia for the level of transformations he’s heralded at the U-15 and U-17 levels following his appointment as Liberia youth coach about two years ago.

But honestly, there’s been mix speculations as to whether he will be able to maintain a balance of possession football that he has imposed on the youth team to the senior national team.

The mood in training looks joyous on Wednesday and at the dead end of the session, Keita was heard whispering to a pile of red shirts that mobbed him, “Guys whatever the outcome of the game on Sunday against Senegal, we will be trying to dominate by keeping possession while creating chances.’’

The team demonstrated several Keita-like drills in the workout before retiring to their George Weah technical Center camp.
