IPNEWS-Monrovia: The Grand Motif of Liberia, Sheik Abubakar Sumaworo demands a speedy investigation into circumstances surrounding the failure of 128 pilgrims from traveling to Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
Last Thursday, 124 pilgrims left the country on a pilgrimage to Mecca, and 128 others failed despite the cash in question being paid, coupled with all other requirements for every member for the trip.
Speaking to journalists Saturday, July 9, 2022 shortly after delivering the sermon marking the observance of Abraham Day at the Gurley Street Mosque, Sheik Abubakar Sumaworo, said it is unfair to treat these Muslims in such a manner.
He stressed that though the funds are not refundable, but he is concerned as to whether those who had already made said payment will be qualified to travel next year.
