–Urges Muslims to Pray for Peace and Development of Liberia
IPNEWS-Monrovia: President George Weah on Sunday, May 1, 2022 issued a statement in connection with the ending of the Holy Month of Ramadan this year in Liberia.
The Liberia extolled all Muslims in Liberia who endured with devotion and offered prayers for the country during the Holy Month. President Weah then granted leave from work all Muslims who are civil servants and employed state owned entities on Monday, May 2022 to enable them observe their sacred duties.

All Muslims Residing in Liberia;
Fellow Liberians:
Asalamualaikum ya Muslim jamat.
Early last month Liberians of the Islamic Faith embarked upon the annual observance of the Holy Month of Ramadan, which is one of the five pillars of Islam that is required of all healthy Muslims.
Today as my Liberian Muslim brothers and sisters climax the end of Ramadan 2022, I congratulate and thank all of them for their moral and spiritual endurance and devotion and for the many prayers offered for our Country.
As President, I urged them to pray for the peace and development of Liberia. I hope that their month-long prayers and supplications will grant us those blessings they asked of Allah for our Nation and the People of Liberia. As we now observe and celebrate the end of Ramadan, I ask all Muslims in Liberia to remain strong players in the maintenance of Peace in our Land.
All Muslims who are employed within the civil service and state-owned entities are hereby granted leave from work on Monday, May 2, 2022, to enable them to observe their sacred duties. May Allah the Almighty continue to bestow His blessings upon us all.
