Willie FC President heaps praise on LFA President

IPNEQS-Zwedru, Grand Gedeh:The president of Willie FC, a Football club playing in the LFA 3rd Division league in Grand Gedeh, Mr. Willie Dweh, has heaped praise on Liberia Football Association (LFA) President, Mr. Mustapha Radji, for his efforts at developing Liberian football.
Mr Dweh spoke when his team received a consignment of football materials in addition to cash from LFA in Zwedru.

“I understand that this gesture is extended to all 3rd division teams in Liberia. This level of fairness is unprecedented in the history of Liberian football.” Mr Dweh noted.

He added that fair play in Football is not limited to the playing pitch and it was laudable for the LFA boss give a fair share of what the association received to all clubs.
Willie FC, account was credited with over US$1000 by the LFA as a subsidy. The LFA through its Grand Gedeh office also presented some football materials to the team.
Mr Dweh said it was the first time since the establishment of his team in 2014 that they have received support from football administrators from the top of Liberian football.

Mr Dweh whose team also received footballs and jerseys from the Weah All Star said Mr Mustapha Haji administration has brought in new dynamicsm in football management in Liberia.

The footballs and jerseys were presented by former Liberia international, now head of Weah All Star, Joe Nagbe.

Mr Dweh also thanked former Lonestar coach, Thomas Kojo, now Director of Sports at the ministry of Youth and Sports for his pep talk to his team and youthful players.
Mr. Kojo told young Liberians playing football that they can thrive in their football career when they pay attention to their coaches and engage the game with respect, hard work and positive attitude. “To be successful as a player you must work hard and respect the leaders of your team”. Kojo advised.

Mr Dweh said Mr Kojo comments were not just encouraging, they were useful to the footballing society as a whole.
The Willie FC owner added that football can contribute to national development if administrators take actions like Mr Radji is doing.
