IPNews-Jubah: A Liberian man identified as Daniel Brown Lamah has been arrest by South Sudanese National Security Service, through its Bureau of Internal Service, in possession of One Million United States dollars counterfeit and Counterfeit money making machines.
According to a dispatch from Jubah, the Liberian with his accomplice Joseph Williams Dek, a South Sudanese were arrested in possession with counterfeiting machines and total of one million United States, eight hundred Thousand counterfeit United States dollars.
The chief of Internal Security of South Sudan told Journalist that crackdown is the government’s desire to raid criminals especially ‘Black money’ criminals out of South Sudan.
When found guilty the Liberia man will served seven years under hard labor prison terms as prescribed by South Sudanese law.
The suspects have admitted to security officials of the sole owners of the counterfeiting machines that are been used to produce with counterfeit moneies for infusion into the South Sudanese market.
“Today with he arrest of the suspects, the Internal Security Bureau, has taken further steps to disrupting criminal networks that are detrimental to the national security of South Sudan.” The Director of Internal Security Bureau.
He called on fellow Sudanese to assist in reporting issues of counterfeit across South sudan.
