Speaker Donates Rice to Chiefs in Maryland County

IPNews-Monrovia: As Marylanders demand the decrease in the high price of rice, the Speaker of the Republic of Liberia Dr. Bhofal Chambers through his local Office in Pleebo City, Maryland county has donated one hundred (100) bags of  25 kg  rice to all the Chiefs of the Nyanbo towns  around Pleebo Sodoken district.
Presenting the food items on behalf of Hon. Chambers, Mr. Wonder Wah, Youth Empowerment Officer in the office of the Speaker said even though the Speaker is Working tirelessly with the National government to reduce the price of rice in the Country,  the rice  is the Speaker’s own way of identifying with the Nyanbo Chiefs as rice price is on the increase in  Maryland county. Two drums of fuel was previously donated to the J.J Donsen hospital, and some Covid-19 preventive materials to those Nyanbo towns.
Mr. Wah also disclosed that the food will be distributed fairly among the Chiefs.
Speaking to the independent Probe newspaper, said the Food items donated worth 350,000.00LD( Three hundred.. fifty thousand Liberia dollars)
Chief Thomas H. Wilson who received the food items on behalf of the Chiefs extended thanks and appreciation to Speaker Bhofal Chambers for remembering them.
At the presentation ceremony in Pleebo, Hon. Aloyisus Williams Pleebo Sodoken District superintendent who represented the local authority  with excitement lauded and appreciated Speaker Chambers for the tireless efforts and Support  to the People of Pleebo
