IPNews-Monrovia: Students join fist fight resulting to one allegedly chopping his classmate ear has been charged of aggravated assault and criminal attempt to commit murder.

Suspect Joseph Cooper Chopped the right ear of victim James Fannoh on his way home from school after a misunderstanding had broke up between both classmates.

According to sources at the Liberia National Police charge of quarters and the Zwedru United Methodist School campus corridor, the victim explained that while writing their mock exam, he was insulted by suspect Joseph Cooper when a girl was spying from him. According to him, he gave the complaint to the classroom teacher but was downplayed.

“I told our teacher (name withheld) but he did not take it serious about him spying from me. He just turned his back. He started expressing some words of disappointment” he explained.

According to the victim, on his way to his seat Suspect Joseph Cooper choked him and he resisted by using his belt to beat him. The situation drew the attention of both the school administrators and students and they were separated.

In the victim’s testimony, Suspect Joseph Cooper disappeared from the campus for over fifteen (15) minutes.

Upon his return, according to eyewitnesses, he had a kitchen knife and accidentally chopped the right ear of his colleague.

Currently, Suspect Joseph Cooper is with his parents as the result of the congestion of the prison.

Speaking with IP NEWS Grand Gedeh County correspondent, the Director at the National Palace of Corrections and Rehabilitation Flomo Johnson said as per the direct mandate from the Ministry of Justice, no Prison should admit inmate doing the heat of the global pandemic.

The Case is currently at the 7^th judicial circuit court in Zwedru awaiting official hearing.

IP NEWS had gathered that the Victim is undergoing serious medical treatment at the Martha Tubman Memorial Hospital in Zwedru.
