IPNEws-Monrovia: Bong County Electoral district#3 Representative Josiah Marvin Cole has openly confessed in the county.

In a well packed and organized gathering in the county at the Bethel World Church, Representative Cole said “Politicians are evils, Crockery and can’t say the truth”.
According to Hon. Cole, there should be a prayer for Politicians to live by their promises.

“We need prayers from religious institutions, we are evil, crockery and can’t say the truth” he continued.
Rep. Josiah Melvin Cole however called on religious people to pray for the safety of Bong County as politicians are not living by their promises.

“Those who do not have Jesus should not be elected in the County” Hon. Cole maintained.

Representative is noted for making huge and empty promises while denying most of them.

It can be recalled during the 2017 presidential and representative elections after being dismissed as head of the Gbarnga City Cooperation, promised to make Gbarnga an orange city and build skyscrapers if elected as representative.
Barely a year in his stewardship, he somersaulted and denied of ever saying it.

“In no time I ever said I will make Gbarnga an orange city by building skyscrapers, among others. I did not say anything like that” the brazen lawmaker denied.

This statement by the lawmaker has been greeted with miss reactions by citizens of the county.

Some have described his open confession as an arrest by the Holy Spirit.

“Our lawmakers have started confessing on what they have been doing in the county. It is a shame on them. Why they will keep lying to us? We don’t trust any of them again” the citizens maintained.

“How will development come to the county when these leaders are constantly lying to us? We don’t even know how to handle them ahead of the senatorial midterm election in the county.

Hon. Cole said the Christian community immensely contributed to his ascendency at the House of Representatives during the 2017 presidential and representative elections, as such, they need to be appreciated.

Also speaking at the occasion, church leaders openly thanked Hon. Cole for visiting them and making the open confession as a lawmaker of the county.

“We appreciate him for his confession. Speak the truth and it shall set you free. He spoke the hard truth and we will pray for them to change” the church leaders assured.

Hon Cole made the comment during a recent appreciation to over 25 churches in Gbarnga.

During the program, Hon. Cole promised to provide one million Liberian dollars to support a choir contest.

Since the ascendency of Josiah Marvin Cole at the national 54th legislature, he has fallen apart with his political god-mother, Vice President Jewel Howard Taylor over several political and personal issues in the county.

Earlier, Marvin Cole worked for Madam Jewel Howard Taylor as Political Affairs Officer while she was serving as Bong County senator, a position that brought him to prominence before heading the Gbarnga City Cooperation (GCC) and his trial to the Liberian National Legislature in 2017.

Madam Taylor was very formidable in the election of Marvin Cole as representative of district three (3) against one of the giants and executive member of the National Patriotic Party who later crossed over to the People’s Unification Party; Hon. George S. Mulbah.

In late June of this year, the Bong County District#3 representative headed a controversial endorsement of Senator Henry Willie Yallah in the name of the Coalition for Democratic Change without consulting officials of the NPP headed by VP Taylor; something that was vehemently rejected by the party’s leadership.

In a press release two days after the political endorsement, the Secretary of the National Patriotic Party Bong County chapter, who also works in the office of the vice president, Mr. Amos D.S Barbu, said the NPP should not be counted in the recent controversial endorsement adding that they as officials are not aware.

It was also rumored that Representative Marvin Cole received thirteen thousand ($13,000) United States Dollars to institute the endorsement, something his office has denied.

Some of the National Patriotic Party Bong County coordinators who spoke on anonymity to the Independent Probe Newspaper described the behavior of the District#3 Lawmaker as being disrespectful to VP Taylor.

“Why will Representative Cole keep disrespecting his own political mother? He came from nowhere. It was Madam Taylor who brought him to surface in the county. She also sent him to school. But we can’t understand the manner he is paying back to her” the NPP coordinators averred.

An inside source has informed the Independent Probe Newspaper that, to date, the VP and Cole have taken different political directions; with Marvin openly supporting Henry Willie Yallah while the VP’s support is yet to be made public after she publicly informed Liberians that “she will not support Yallah’s quest on the Coalition for Democratic Change ticket over a long standing political rift between she and Yallah where she branded him as a “snake in the bag”.
