Country First Condemns Violence Against CPP Chairman,Others

IPNews-Monrovia, Liberia: COUNTRY FIRST, a civil society movement based in Monrovia, condemns, in the strongest terms recent acts of violence meted against CPP chairman, Mr. Alexander B. Cummings and Montserrado district #10 representative, Hon. Yekeh Kolubah by some citizens and residents of Zwedru in Grand Gedeh county on 30 July, 2020.

COUNTRY FIRST views this act as barbaric and uncivilized and wants to remind everyone that the constitution guarantees free movement and that every citizen is free to visit or reside in any part of Liberia.

Groba Leo Williams, encourages all Liberians to CIVILLY engage and disagree void of insults, lies and violence.

“We join the call by the president and government of Liberia for a speedy investigation into the matter and that all those found guilty bear the full weight of the law.”

“We are asking all Liberians to do everything in their power to promote democracy and maintain the peace. Long live Liberia. Our COUNTRY FIRST.” Groba Leo Williams, Executive Director, COUNTRY FIRST
