CDC Internal Confusion Deepens; Expels Jemima Wolokolie for lack of ‘Moral & Integrity

IPNews-Monrovia: Bearly a day after President George Manneh Weah dismissed Deputy Commerce Minister Jemima Wolokolie, for lack of ‘moral and Integrity’.

In a release issued minutes ago, the CDC National Executive Committee of the Congress for Democratic Change, stated that the explosion takes immediate effect.

The release also noted that the decision by the party’s executive committee to expelled Madam Jemima Wolokolie pursuant to the outcome of its Grievance and Ethics initiative, which was submitted on 10 June 2020, calling for madam Jemima Wolokolie’s immediate explusion from the party.

“The expulsion of Madam Wolokolie comes after an earlier action of suspension for fraud, extortion, corruption, and her role in a fake loan scheme.”

“These allegations, despite the preponderance of the evidence, were nonetheless carefully adjudicated and fairly tried consistent with best practice; which finds Madam Wolokolie GUILTY as CHARGED, and lacking moral worth to maintain membership with the CDC.” the CDC release stated.

Meanwhile, the CDC says it has duly communicated with the National Elections Commission-NEC on its latest decision.

“The NEC’s endorsement of the Grievance and Ethics report expunging Madam Wolokolie’s membership mirrors the party’s sternness against unwholesome actions or utterances that impugn the integrity of the Congress for Democratic Change. ”

CDC: “With justice now fully served, the party considers a complete closure to this repugnant chapter, which has only strengthened the CDC’s resolve, unity and unequivocal response against acts of lawlessness.”

The ruling CDC is at the same time, commending the leadership of the Congress for Democratic Change, especially the President of Liberia, His Excellency George Manneh Weah for the dismissal of expelled partisan Wolokolie, last evening.

“We hail the decision of President George Manneh Weah, as timely and an important step reasserting his disapproval of improper conducts in the sphere of governance.” the release emphasized.

It may be recalled last evening, President George Manneh Weah dismissed with immediate effect Deputy Commerce Minister, Jemima Wolokollie.

According to an Excutive Mansion release yesterday evening, President Weah’s decision follows a string of actions incompatible with Deputy Minister Wolokollie’s status as a senior government official.

Deputy Minister Wolokolie was earlier suspended by the President for insubordination and unprofessionalism.

The Liberian Chief Executive urges all officials of government who bear the public trust to conduct themselves properly.

The dismissal of Madam Wolokollie comes a day after she launch nasty comments against CDC chairman Mulbah Morlu and Youth League chairman Jefferson Tamba Koijee over primary reservation.
