IPNews-Monrovia: There is an old adage which says, ‘99 days for Criminal and one day for master’.
The Independent Probe Newspaper has unearthed one of the worse academic fraud of modern Liberia, involving Deputy Executive Director, Environmental Protection Agency, EPA.
According to an in-depth investigation conducted by this paper, established Mr. Randall Dobayou, is not a graduate of the Africa Methodist Episcopal University-AMEU, as claimed.
The investigation revealed that a purported letter of ‘Attestation’, currently in circulation by Mr. Dobayou is fake.
When contacted on authenticity of the letter of attestation, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, (VPAA), Dr. Q. Somah Paygai, told IPNews that the current letter was questionable and the matter is currently being investigated by authorities of the African Methodist Episcopal University –AMEU, to establish how Mr. Randall Dobayou obtained such letter of attestation.
The attestation letter in the possession of the Independent Probe does not indicate who signed the letter, neither does it carried the I.D. No. of Mr. Randal Dobayou, as required by all well-established academic institutions under the higher education standards of Liberia and internationally acceptable standards.
Information gathered by the Independent Probe Newspaper revealed that Mr. Donbayou was suspended from the AMEU in the second semester of 2012 for gross violation of University’s student handbook and later traveled to the United States of America, in 2013, while the graduation of AMEU was held in that same year, on Friday, July 12, 2013, under the direction of Dr. Joseph T. Isaac as the University’s 4th President, eleventh days after taking office officially on July 1, 2013.
The heartbreaking moment of Mr. Randal Dobayou’s academic fraud is the circulating of lies that he (Randall Dobayou,II.) is a graduate of the Alabama States University, United States of America, with a Master of Environmental Science. (Copy of fraudulent Degree comes in subsequent publication)
Information available to the Independent Probe indicates that Mr. Randall Dobayou, II, while in the United States, enrolled at the Vetterott Technical College, St. Charles, Missouri, where he earned a certificate in ‘Universal Technician’, with emphasis in ‘Ventilation and refrigeration’, and a brief stalled as Secretary General of CDC-USA, b¹efore returning to Liberia in 2019, following the election of President George Manneh Weah, as President of Liberia.
Our investigation further revealed that while in the United States of America, Randall Dobayou, requested enrollment at the CLARK University, Worcester, Massachusetts, where he was handed an admission at the Department of International Development, Community and Environmental but did not enrolled due to his relocation.
Upon arrival in 2019, Mr. Randall Dobayou, II, was appointed by President George Manaeh Weah, as Deputy Executive Director, Environmental Protection Agency-EPA, where he still served as Acting Executive Director.
While in the position for nearly four months, Mr. Randal Dobayou, an approved Resident of the United States, attended a studied tour along with a delegation from the Environmental Protection Agency-EPA, at the Alabama States University, Montgomery, Alabama, United States of America, for two weeks, on a “Global Climate Science and Communications”, Focus on ‘Early Warning System’, contrary to a purported Master degree in circulation.
