IPNews-Monrovia: The plenary of the House of Representative has summoned Health authorities in Liberia to ascertain the leave preparedness and other measures put in place in case Liberia there is an importation of the deadly Coronavirus.
In is communication to plenary, Montserrado County district #16 Lawmaker Dixon Seboe stressed the urgent need for Liberia as a country which experienced similar outbreak of Ebola to begin to active safety measures across the country considering the porous nature of the Liberian boarders
Representative Seboe however noted that statistics being presented relative to the amount of cases discovered and corresponding death which remains alarming and scaring, there is an urgent need by authorities of the Ministry of Health to begin providing some health information surrounding the Virus
Hon Sebo pleaded with his colleagues that the Management team of the National Public Health Institute and the Minister of Health clearly tell the Liberians measures and steps taken to handle any outbreak that may spark-up in the country considering the movement of people along the porous boarders of Liberia.
Following heated debate the communication and subsequent motion by Representative Maima Bridge Mensah, the plenary voted to invite authorities of the Ministry Health and the National Public Health Institute appear before that body this Thursday, January 30,2020 to provide further information and preparedness plan for the importation of the coronavirius.
