IPNews-MONROVIA, Barclay Training Center: Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Z.B. Holman, Jr., becomes Liberia’s Defense Attaché to Washington D.C. and Military Liaison to the Liberian Permanent Mission to the United Nations.
Lieutenant Colonel Holman is a 1999 graduate of the St. Philip Ecumenical High school. Upon graduation, he matriculated at the University of Liberia where he earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Degree in Economics, 2007. After his induction into the military, Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Holman completed the following military courses: Master of Science Degree in Military Studies (MSc) from Bangladesh University of Professionals from the People’s Republic of Bangladesh in 2013-2014; Diploma in Conflict Management for Peace Builder and Peacekeeper in 2015; Diploma from the Defence Services Command and Staff Collage in Bangladesh, (PSC), in 2013-2014; Certificate from the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff Collage- Junior Division (JD) in 2011; Certificate- Company Course, Rwanda Military Academy, in 2010; Diploma- Basic Officer Leadership Course, Fort Sill, USA, in 2008; Diploma -Engineer Basic Officer Leadership Course, Fort Lenard wood, USA, in 2008-2009; Certificate- Officer Candidate School (OCS), Liberia, in 2007; Certificate- Basic Non-Commissioned Course (BNCOC), Liberia, in 2007; Certificate- Advance Individual Training (AIT), Liberia, in 2007; and Certificate- Initial Entry Training, Liberia, in 2007. In addition, Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Z.B. Holman, Jr., has attended several seminars where he obtained certificate from Security Sector Leader Program in Senegal 2012; Certificate- Military Decision Making Process Seminar in Liberia 2011.
Lieutenant Colonel Holman has served in several appointments in the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL) which include: Military Assistant to the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Liberia, Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations, Director of Peacekeeping Operations, Assistant Chief of Staff for Personnel Armed Forces of Liberia, Deputy Assistant Chief of Staff for Training, Executive Officer, 23rd Infantry Brigade, Armed Forces of Liberia; Commander, 1st Engineer Company, Armed Forces of Liberia; Executive Officer, 1st Engineer Company, Armed Forces of Liberia; Plans and Operations Officer, 1st Engineer Company, Armed Forces of Liberia; and Platoon Commander, 1st Engineer Company, Armed Forces of Liberia. Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Z.B. Holman, Jr., also served on international Peacekeeping Mission as Deputy Chief of Operations of the Forward Command Post with MINUSMA in Mali.
